Batman Forever writer to develop Transformers sequels and spin-off movies

Paramount is looking to develop its Transformers franchise into a multifaceted cinematic universe akin to the Marvel movies.

Deadline reports that the studio is teaming Akiva Goldsman, writer of Batman Forever and A Beautiful Mind, with director Michael Bay, executive producer Steven Spielberg and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura to organise a ‘writer’s room’ to develop future Transformers sequels and spin-offs.

Goldsman’s job will be to secure writers for future Transformers movies and ‘hatch the movies they’ll script’.
