The Entertainer makes The Times’ Top 100 Companies To Work For

The Entertainer has been named in The Sunday Times’ 100 Best companies To Work For.

The family-run retailer placed at number 82, a ranking it heralds a ‘remarkable achievement for its first year of inclusion.’

The toy store competed with over 1,050 businesses and organisations to stake its claim on the list.

The Times’ Best Companies To Work For listing are widely acknowledged as the most extensive research into employee engagement carried out in the country.

The firm and its founder Gary Grant have been championed for the team’s dedication to supporting community, with schemes in pace to match money donated to charity via its payroll giving initiative, which 50 per cent of its workforce has signed up to.

In the firm’s review, 85 per cent of staff agrees that the group is run on strong values and 92 per cent believe that charitable activities are actively encouraged.

With the average staff age of 29 and a male to female ratio of 42:58, 90 of the more than 1,000 members of staff have been with the firm for a decade or more.

“To be included in the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies list and being recognised and appreciated by our employees is both an encouragement and an honour that we won’t take for granted," said Grant.
