The Toy Industry Association has elected three new members to the TIA board of directors.
Kerry Cunnion, senior vice president of sales at Tomy International, Howard Kahn, chairman of Madam Alexander and CEO of Kahn Lucas, and Bruce Raiffe, president of Gund, have all been nominated.
The three will now commence the first of their two-year terms of office, until February 2017.
Meanwhile, John Barbour, president of LeapFrog, Richard barry, senior vice president and chief merchandising officer at Toys R US and Manuel Torres, senior vice president of global toys and publishing at Nickelodeon Consumer Products have all been re-elected or a second term.
Tim Kilpin, president, chief commercial officer at Mattel will replace Mattel’s David Allmark.
“TIA is thriving, and has achieved a new level of service and value to the toy industry and its members,” said TIA president and CEO, Carter Keithley (pictured) in his State of the Association address at the Annual General Meeting.
“We now provide research studies, informational webinars, technical support, and a variety of promotional opportunities to help our members flourish.”
Open to members and non-members, the 2015 TIA Annual General Meeting was held in conjunction with the 112th North American International Toy Fair.
During the meeting, retiring members, Joel Berger of Cardinal Industries and Pete Henseler of Tomy International were recognised for their service.
