Golden Bear forecasts 50 per cent growth following strong 2014

Golden Bear is confident of a successful 2015 following a sales growth of 33 per cent and securing the number one spot in all UK plush sales, last year.

According to the latest NPD figures, the Telford-based company saw its In The Night Garden range become the fastest growing pre-school license in 2014, increasing by 92.8 per cent for the year.

Golden Bear is now forecasting further growth of around 50 per cent for the year ahead, lead – it believes – by new products such as the In The Night garden Activity Table launching this autumn and new brands such as Twirlywoos, Hey Duggee and My First Forever Friends.

2014 saw Golden Bear’s In The Night Garden Talking Soft Toys and Ninky Nonk Musical Activity train become two of the top three best-selling licensed pre-school items.

“Quality, innovation and strong licensed properties are at the core of our business and we look at product development that best expresses this ethos and can offer longevity,” said Barry Hughes, golden Bear commercial director.

“We are now forecasting further growth of around 50 per cent this year.”
