Ghostbusters: The Board Game answers call on Kickstarter

To quote songwriter and oracle, Ray Parker Jr., when there’s something strange in your neighbourhood, who you gonna call?

Well, Cryptozoic Entertainment might be a good place to start, as the team has just launched a new Ghostbusters board game on the crowdfunding site, Kickstarter.

Inspired by the films, cartoon, comic books and toylines, Ghostbusters: The Board Game has already secured over $365,000 in funding, thanks to the efforts of 2,485 backers.

An episodic adventure game for one to four players, Ghostbusters: The Board game challenges players to battles ghouls and seal the gates to the spirit world.

It also features unique illustrations and figures based on original artwork by Dan Schoening – the artist behind IDW’s Ghostbusters comic book series.

In its current form, the game arrives with the four heroes: Venkman, Spengler, Stantz and Zeddemore, and three iconic ghouls, Slimer, Idulnas and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

The project – that surpassed its goal of $250,000 in funding in just a matter of days – will be funded on Thursday, March 12th this year.
