The LEGO Movie triumphs at BAFTAs following Oscars snub

The LEGO Movie has triumphed at the BAFTAs 2015, picking up the award for Best Animated Film.

The win comes a month after the film was snubbed in the same category at this year’s Oscars.

“You are our favourite academy by far, and this is clearly the most fun I’ve had in an opera house by far also," said co-director of The LEGO Movie, Phil Lord.

“This is the end of the road for our awards so this is what we really think. We’re very grateful and we’re very proud so thank you guys very much.”
