The firm heads to the fair with Vivid, Playmobil, Simba Smoby and a portfolio of new products.

TOY FAIR 2015: ITVS GE showcases Thunderbirds Are Go, Super 4 and Matt Hatter ranges

ITV Studios Global Entertainment is primed for ToyFair 2015 with a raft of new developments for its hotly anticipated action series Thunderbirds Are Go, as well as Super 4 and Matt Hatter Chronicles.

Master toy partner Vivid Imaginations will be leading the line up for Thunderbirds Are Go.

Timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the original Thunderbirds series and debuting this spring on ITV and CITV, Thunderbirds Are Go is the remake of the 1960s TV show.

Vivid Imaginations has rights for distribution in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, excluding US and Asia and will unveil its highly anticipated toy line at London’s Toy Fair which features the new Tracy Island play set, in addition to a vehicle play set, detailed action figures and role play.

With a new hero product set for release each Q3, the range will debut at UK retail in Q3 and will be supported by an extensive digitally integrated consumer marketing and retail campaign.

Following a year filled with 40th anniversary celebrations for the Playmobil brand, UK licensing agent ITVS GE has been developing a dedicated UK consumer products programme for the new kids’ CGI comedy-adventure series, Super 4.

Master toy licensee Playmobil will lead the slate at the show with its first range of Super 4 Heroes figures and play sets, launching at UK retail in Q4 this year, in addition to master publishing partners Bonnier Publishing and Redan on board to launch from Q1 2016.

Super 4 follows the adventures of four main characters; Alex the Knight, Ruby the Pirate, Agent Gene and Twinkle the Fairy, as they travel through five different imaginary worlds inspired by the Playmobil universe. The series premiered on CITV earlier this year and will broadcast a further 26 episodes later this year. Super 4 also made its screen debut in France on leading TV channel, France 3.

Since its launch in 2012, Matt Hatter Chronicles is now a favourite among six to 11 year old children, reports the firm.

Following strong ratings for the first two series, Series 3 recently premiered on CITV and ITV, and has reported increased audience figures. Master toy partner Simba Smoby UK debuted the first ever Matt Hatter toy line in the UK, EMEA and India in Autumn 2014.

Further to the multi-territory roll-out, 2015 will mark the start of a global licensing programme that will also include Australia, France, Spain and Italy. With all major categories including publishing, apparel, games, outdoor play, gifting and stationery covered, ITVS GE is now working with its 17 UK licensing partners and Platinum Films to prep 2015 retail launches which target boys aged five to 11 years.
