A Girl for All Time has been awarded the Playdoll of the Year 2014 Award by doll-centric publication, DOLLS Magazine.
The Childen’s Play Doll of the Year award was handed to ‘Clementine, Your 1940s Girl’, a line that has previously been named as one of the Industry Choice Winners in the same category.
The doll was selected when more than 1,200 doll collectors cast their votes by post or online in the annual poll by the magazine.
“I am utterly delighted that the public has chosen Clementine as winner in the Playdoll category,” said Frances Cain from brand owner Daughters of History.
“She was launched last year and had proved to be one of our most successful dolls, popular with both existing fans of the range as well as those who are just discovering the A Girl for All time collection.
“Her distinctive look sets her apart from our other dolls and children are enjoying exploring her 1940s background.”
Aimed at girls aged seven and upwards, the A Girl for All Time range offers fans a sophisticated play companion who will take them through British history.
Each doll is created by a team of talented designers from the world of British fashion and film. Each costume boasts the work of fashion designer Katya Wildman and Emmy-nominated costumier Caroline Harris.
Meanwhile, each accompanying novel has been written by twice BAFTA nominated screenwriter and director, Sandra Goldbacher.
