Sekiguchi has appointed Bandai as the UK distributor of Monchhichi from 2015.
The firm will launch a new collection of Monchhichi characters in March 2015 and will back the brand with display material and in-store activity.
A PR campaign driven by social media will aim to find new fans as well as touching on th ‘nostalgic appeal’ of the doll.

"With a new TV animation also in production, this is an exciting time for everyone involved in Monchhichi and we have every confidence that the British public are going to fall in love with our comforting characters all over again.”

Bandai will be showcasing the launch range for Monchhichi at Toy Fair in January and will be exhibiting for the first time at Spring Fair as well.
