John Adams celebrates award-winning year

John Adams Leisure is celebrating a successful 2014 in which the firm managed to scoop a total of 15 awards.

The company started strongly when it won Supplier of the Year and Game of the Year at the Toy Industry Awards.

The success appears to have continued throughout the year, with numerous old and new titles – including Think Words and Pig Out – taking awards and accolades.

The firm’s Blo Pens brand had similar success, winning two awards at the ToyTesters TV awards in the summer, while the ProDeck Workshop was recognised with a silver award at the Right Start Best Toy Awards.

Rubik’s had a happy 40th anniversary and celebrated with the annual Rubik’s Cube tournament as well as an oversized Rubik’s Cube themed cake. It also beat stiff competition to win the stocking fillers category at the Dad’s Choice Awards. Where Dominoes Express also took home the prize for Fun Toys.

Finally, Jelly Fun Jelly slushy Maker picked up three awards, including gold and silver medals at the ToyTestersTV event.

“We have had tremendous success with toy awards this year,” said Simon Pilkington, managing director of John Adams Leisure.

“We’re always delighted to get good feedback on our products, so to win so many awards in one year is wonderful.”
