The active play specialist has appointed former Mamas and Papas exec, Mark Wilson as the firm celebrates its 25th anniversary.

Plum appoints new managing director

Active play specialist, Plum has appointed a new managing director.

Mark Wilson has joined the team, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the consumer goods industry, having previously held the position of MD at Mamas and Papas.

Wilson’s new role will see him become instrumental in Plum’s plans for growth and he will oversee operations in both Plum’s UK and Hong Kong offices.

“I am absolutely delighted to welcome Mark on board at Plum,” said the firm’s chairman, Jonathan Schaffer. “We have audacious growth plans and with Mark’s very strong all round experience and skills he is exactly the right person at the right time to drive the expansion of the Plum brand both in the UK and internationally.

“It’s a new and very exciting chapter for us, coinciding with our 25th anniversary as we embark on the next phase in the journey of Plum.”

Wilson added: “I am very pleased to be joining Plum as it enjoys its 25th year anniversary as the Active Play Specialists and look forward to working with such a strong and dynamic team.

“We will continue to develop our market leader position in the UK, while also pursuing an international growth strategy incorporating a stronger indoor toy range than before.”
