Asobi to launch Skinny Sketcher following Toy & Game Inventors Workshop

Asobi is to launch a new arts and crafts product called Skinny Sketcher as a direct result of the Toy & Game Inventors Workshop.

The exclusive agreement will see Asobi manufacture and distribute the product worldwide, and company will be officially unveiling the product at Toy Fair 2015.

Skinny Sketcher, created by Gillian Logan, is a sketching and colouring activity, designed especially for budding architects.

The self-contained kit includes everything needed to produce freehand sketches of famous lookalike buildings, including The Armadillo, The Gherkin, The Pringle, The Cheese Grater and The Birds Nest. The Skinny Sketcher Kit also includes Archi-fact cards, Skinny Frieze, Step-by-step drawing instructions, graph and tracing paper and a mechanical pencil.

Logan met Asobi managing director Thierry Bourret at one of the pitching sessions at the first ever Toy & Game Inventors Workshop where she made an instant impression.

“We met Gillian at ToyNews’ Toy & Game Inventors Workshop and we were instantly impressed when introduced to Skinny Sketcher," said Bourret.

"There truly is nothing like it on the market. At Asobi we are passionate about offering children toys that ignite the imagination and we are very excited to add a completely new concept to our portfolio.”

Logan added: “I am thrilled to launch Skinny Sketcher. I was really shocked when I found there was nothing on the market for children interested in architecture. I hope our kits will not only inspire budding architects, but also allow children to discover how buildings are created.

"We are delighted Asobi has agreed to licence our brand, the distributor’s ethos is very much in line with our own and we are very pleased to have the UK’s leading distributor of inspiring toys supporting us.”
