Following this year’s successful Isle of Wight event, the Toy Trust has unveiled its big charity event for next year: the Big Thames Challenge.
Taking place on Saturday June 6th 2015, the Big Thames Challenge is open to any company associated with the toy industry and will be based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
Participants can take part in a range of challenges, including a 20km Thames Path walk, a 20km Thames Path run and a 75 mile bike ride to Oxford and back.
There will also be a shorter family friendly Thames Path walk to encourage those with children to get involved.
The fundraising goal of the event is to raise £175,000, which will go to support a nominated UK based mobility charity, details of which will be announced shortly.
“Next year’s challenges have been designed to encourage even more toy industry people to get involved in this fantastic fund-raising, team-building and networking event," said Nick Austin, the Big Thames Challenge organiser.
“We have 300 places available on a first-come, first served basis so please book your place now if you want to join in with the biggest feel-good charity fundraiser in the toy industry calendar!”
Anyone wishing to pre-register individual places or a team should contact Matt Jones at the BTHA at Matt@btha.co.uk immediately to secure places.
The Toy Trust is also looking for volunteers to help marshal the day.
