Character Options has issued a statement assuring its retail partners and the public of the safety of its Cra-Z-Loom range.
The Entertainer has removed certain loom band charms from its stores after fears emerged that some may contain dangerous levels of cancer causing chemicals, but Character Options has assured consumers that its entire range is totally safe.
“We would like to advise everyone that all products within our Cra-Z-Loom range are safe and should not be confused with those products that have been highlighted recently in the media," said Joe Kissane, managing director, Character Options.
“We can confirm that the Cra-Z-Loom Bracelet maker, the Cra-Z-Loom refill packs and indeed the entire Shimmer and Sparkle portfolio have passed European Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) Annex XVII (and amendments) that dictate the non-use of Phthalates in toys and other products.
"In addition to this as part of our own due diligence, Character Options Limited has independent lab tests completed at random. We can confirm all these tests are in place and the products have passed on every occasion.
“Character Options gives the safety of its products the highest priority and as the market leader of this type of product in the UK we can confirm the absolute quality of Cra-Z-Loom brand.”
