Arklu is celebrating the two-year milestone of its award-winning Lottie Dolls with new developments, including books and a new animation.
The brainchild of Lucie Follett, Lottie made her first appearance in 2012, designed to promote a positive role model for children.
The doll range has since won 19 awards, received approval and praise from parents and professionals and is now sold in over 30 countries across the globe.
However, Arklu won’t be resting on its laurels, and confirms that six new products will be launching in the coming months with a further nine in development, all designed to continue the Lottie success.
Managing director of Arklu, Ian Harkin, said: “We are delighted to celebrate our second anniversary. The doll category is widely recognised as the most competitive category within the toy industry, so to be able to get a foothold in the industry in such a short period of time is extremely rewarding.
“We have worked to develop Lottie’s character and world which we’ll be sharing through a series of six chapter books launching in spring 2015.
“We have also recently finished a short animation, which we will be pitching to broadcasters in Cartoon forum in France next month.”
Aimed at kids aged three to nine, Lottie Dolls were developed to address the issues raised by parents, tackling education, aspirations and more. The doll was alos designed alongside child psychologists and nutrition experts to sculpt a doll with a body proportionate to the average nine year old.
