Be Inspired is the latest firm to sign up as an associate sponsor for the Toy & Game Inventors Workshop, with its director Wendy Munt also sharing insights from her 22 years of retail experience with delegates during a panel session.
Be Inspired provide business expertise on toy product development, range planning, licensing and all aspects of trading with major retailers. Their clients are on both side of the supplier/retailer fence, ranging from aspiring entrepreneurs and SMEs to some of the industry’s distributor and retailer giants. Be Inspired has worked with many inventors and entrepreneurs who have appeared on Dragons’ Den, assisting them with their investment pitch, product development and getting buyer feedback to enhance the potential of securing Dragon investment offers.
Munt herself is a well-known figure in the toy industry, having spent 21 years at Argos as senior buyer (15 years on toys) and roles of senior buyer at Mothercare and head of product development at Re:creation. Munt has many of her concepts selling well in the UK marketplace.
As well as being on board as associate sponsor and being available on the day to give advice to delegates, Munt will also be taking part in the Retail & Consumer Panel session during the morning conference, entitled What Retail & Consumers are Looking For.
"The Toy & Game Inventors Workshop is a fantastic initiative and I’m delighted to be involved with this exciting event," said Wendy Munt, director of Be Inspired. "Toy innovators will have the ideal opportunity to pitch their concepts to some of the industry’s key players and receive invaluable advice regarding the many challenges faced when trying to get a toy to market.
"Excellent innovation has never been more important to our industry than it is today, so the more help we can give inventors, the better the quality and quantity of ideas we will see. I’m looking forward to looking out for Toytown’s ‘next big thing’."
Be Inspired joins Fundamentally Children and BOTI (Big on Toy Innovation) as an associate sponsor of the workshop.
Event sponsors confirmed to date are Asobi, Cartamundi, Hasbro, GP Flair, John Adams, Sambro and Casdon.
The Toy & Game Inventors Workshop takes place on Monday, September 22nd at Rich Mix, Bethnal Green Road, London. Delegate tickets are priced at just £99 and they can be directly booked by clicking here.
