Fisher-Price launches 1st Birthday campaign

Fisher-Price is helping parents celebrate the milestone of a 1st Birthday with a new extensive marketing and PR campaign.

The campaign aims to convey the ‘developmental benefits of Fisher-Price toys for this age group’, and create conversation amongst mums around the first birthday theme.

A 1st Birthdays microsite has launched at ww.fisher-price.co.uk featuring free downloadable themed party packs, ideas for presents, tips for party planning, special offers and promotions and fun videos.

The firm has also launched a 1st Birthday App that allows parents to ‘capture those special memories from the day’ and share them through social media platforms.

PR around the campaign will centre on Prince George’s birthday celebrations as well as Fisher-Price’s 1st birthday gifts including the new Little People Birthday playset.

Fisher-Price is also partnering with parenting website Baby Centre to target mums with babies 11 months upwards.

“With our extensive range of Fisher-Price products for 12 months plus, this key milestone for babies and parents is a great conversation for us," said Wendy Hill, director of customer marketing and brand communications at Mattel.

"Our new microsite, app and partnership with Baby Centre provide really exciting platforms for our First Birthday campaign.”
