We get a sneak peek at the product line-up from Family Gamer TV's Andy Robinson.

EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: Bandai’s Big Hero 6 toy line

Big Hero 6 is a movie from the team behind Frozen and Wreck It Ralph, under the direction of Don Hall (director on Winnie the Pooh) and Chris Williams (co-director on Bolt). It’s the 54th Walt Disney animated feature but the first to feature Marvel characters since its acquisition by Disney in 2009 and will be released in the US on November 7th and in the UK on January 30th, 2015.

Ahead of the Big Hero 6 Bandai toy line unveil at the San Diego Comic-Con, we have an exclusive first look at the products from Family Gamer TV’s Andy Robertson.

A ten-inch Plush Baymax ($19.99) introduces the main robot hero in soft cuddly form. “Soft material recreates the look and feel of Baymax and a simple squeeze activates several phrases and sounds from the film.” This is matched by a more technological ten-inch Projection/SFX Baymax ($29.99). “Smooth and fun to touch, the ten-inch vinyl Baymax has an incredible projector feature in his belly, allowing fans to view images from Disney’s Big Hero 6 movie. Pull Baymax’s arm down to see new images and hear sounds from the movie.”

Top of the file is the Deluxe Flying Baymax ($39.99) available from September 2014. “Large and in-charge, this massive Baymax is ready to fly into battle using all his great weapons and features. Towering at 11 inches with a soaring 18-inch wingspan, the Deluxe Flying Baymax features 20 points of articulation, multiple lights, sounds and other fun features such as a launching rocket fist. Baymax comes with a 4.5-inch Hiro Hamada figure, which when attached to Baymax’s back unlocks additional flying sounds that vary depending on whether Baymax is flying up, or down.

Then we have the Armor-Up Baymax ($19.99). “Transform Baymax from his six-inch white nursebot form to an eight-inch crime fighting super hero with the Armor-Up Baymax. 20 body armor pieces construct a powered-up Baymax, growing two inches in height while preparing for battle in his red armored suit.”

The six-inch Feature Figures ($12.99) introduce the wider cast of the film. “Articulated with detailed styling, Baymax and Fred come to life in the Big Hero 6 six-inch Feature Figures, each character boasting its unique display of strength and power. Launch Fred’s fireball with his spring-loaded feet or just bounce him around. Baymax’s power-punching feature activates with a pull of his fist back… and let it fly.”

This is then extended by the four-inch Action Figures ($8.99). “Action figures of all the Big Hero 6 characters, each features eight+ points of articulation, plus accessory or a packed out character part.” There are also 5.5-inch Plush ($7.99) toys: “Created with soft plush and embroidery, four cute and cuddly characters are ready for action and snuggling. Characters include: Baymax in his white nursebot form, Fred, Honey Lemon, and Go Go Tomago."

Bandai Big Hero 6 Toys Part 2

Finally there is a Baymax Rocket Fist & Mask Combo ($27.99) for live action playing. “Harness the power and launch Baymax’s Rocket Fist while donning the adjustable mask. Put the power of Baymax in your hands with the Baymax Rocket Fist. Easy reloading and fun launching up to ten-feet in distance – and soft material on the fist makes it safe and fun to play.”
