Paramount’s Transformers: Age Of Extinction has debuted worldwide with a mammoth $301.3m.
Opening in 37 territories, the sequel made $201.3m from international screens and $100m in North America, reports Screen.
The film, with a finale set in China, made $90m in that region, $30m of which was made on Friday, making it the biggest opening day for a foreign film in China.
Elsewhere, Age Of Extinction became the second biggest launch ever in Russia on $21.7m as well as the biggest weekend of the year so far in South Korea with $21.5m.
The film lands in the UK this Saturday.
