LeapFrog has unveiled the latest additions to its award-winning line of LeapPad tablets, the LeapPad3 and LeapPad Ultra XDi.
Both new tablets will offer access to hundreds of educational apps, books, games and videos, alongside LeapFrog’s Learning Library of games and apps.
Furthermore, the new additions offer kids access to safe web browsing straight from the box with its LeapSearch browsing tool.
LeapPad3 is billed as ‘the fastest, highest-performance five inch tablet ever from LeapFrog,’ with Wi-Fi, a new capacitive touch screen along with enough memory to store 20,000 photos, a two mega-pixel front and back camera, video recorder and rechargeable battery.
Meanwhile, the LeapPad Ultra XDi boasts a seven inch Wi-Fi tablet and builds on last year’s success of LeapPad Ultra.
With eight GB of memory, kids can store up to 40,000 photos as well as access downloadable apps. The Ultra XDi also features an on-board MP3 player.
“Parents searching for their child’s first tablet are confronted with many choices that say they are designed for kids,” said Dr. Jody Sherman Levos, director of LeapFrog’s learning team.
“LeapPad3 and LeapPad Ultra XDi offer parents the perfect introductory tablets that are high performing, and have access to a kid-safe web experience designed for a child to explore their passions and interests along with a learning library of high quality games and apps.
“Parents can feel confident that when they hand their child a LeapFrog tablet, whether a LeapPad 3 or LeapPad Ultra XDi, they are providing the perfect first tablet experience designed for kids – full of learning and packed with fun.”
Both the LeapPad3 and LeapPad Ultra XDi will be available from July 28th this year. The LeapPad3 will retail from £89.99 and will be available in green and pink.
The LeapPad Ultra XDi will retail for £119.99, also available in green and pink.
