The Grand Budapest Hotel given LEGO treatment

To mark the US DVD and Blu-ray release of Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel, a replica version has been created entirely out of LEGO.

A team of ten people, led by Ryan Ziegelbauer, spent 575 hours making the LEGO hotel, with bricks sourced from collectors across the world.

Weighing 68 kilos and with more than 50,000 LEGO bricks gone into making it, the LEGO Grand Budapest Hotel will now go on dispaly at the A+D Architecture and Design museum in Los Angeles.

The Grand Budapest Hotel follows the adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel and his lobby boy Zero Moustafa. The film is out on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on July 7th.
