Schoolchildren build record-breaking LEGO tower

Schoolchildren in Hungary have set a new world record for the tallest tower made entirely out of LEGO.

Standing in front of Saint Stephen’s Basilica in Budapest, the construction measures a heady 114-feet (or 36 metres) high.

The LEGO tower build was completed by several school children who were helped by official LEGO builders.

Officials from the Guiness World Record company were on hand to verify the record, confirming that the tower trumped the previous record set in the US by a matter of one foot.
