Gibsons reveals winner of 221b Baker Street competition

Gibsons has chosen the winner of its national 221b Baker Street competition, which it kicked off back in January.

The challenge urged any Sherlock enthusiast or budding crime writer to pick up their pens and create the perfect crime that even the master detective himself would struggle to get to the bottom of.

The Gibsons team whittled down the countless entries to a top ten, before selecting CG Michaels’ case – The Herbs with a Punch – as the overall winner. What the team enjoyed most about the case was the comical way that it portrayed Watson’s thoughts and the victim’s ingenuious idea that anonymously revealed his attacker.

"We’re delighted that the competition has captured the imagination of so many fans and thoroughly enjoyed reading all the different cases," said Kate Armitage, marketing director at Gibsons. "The relaunch of the detective game has been a much anticipated affair here at Gibsons, and we’re looking forward to its release."

The winner and a guest will now get to stay for a night at the Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes London Hotel, while the top ten entries have also been awarded a copy of Gibsons newly designed detective game, 221b Baker Street, which is launching in June.
