Team behind Box of Awesome acquires Los Angeles based MobiGirl Media

SuperAwesome makes first move into US market

SuperAwesome, the team behind Box of Awesome and Box of OMG, has made its first move into the US market with the acquisition of MobiGirl Media.

Based in Los Angeles, MobiGirl Media is a COPPA compliant mobile ad network aimed ad girls aged six to 16.

Founded in 2012, SuperAwesome offers a ‘child-friendly marketing ecosystem’ and boasts over 60 content partners as well as owning a range of kids properties including Swapit, Box of Awesome and SuperAwesome Club.

The firm’s channels reach 20 million kids each month with clients such as Disney, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros, Nintendo and more.

Jennifer Noonan, CEO of MobiGirl Media, said: "We are super excited with SuperAwesome’s acquisition of MobiGirl Media.

"When we created MobiGirl Media, it was always our hope to grow the company internationally and team up with the leaders in the field of kids digital discovery.

"Dylan and the team have been fantastic to work with and SuperAwesome is the ideal landing place for MobiGirl Media."

Dylan Collins, CEO SuperAwesome, added: "We’ve primarily grown the company organically but the opportunity to work with Jennifer and her co-founders was quite unique and we’re delighted to welcome them into the SuperAwesome family.

“MobiGirl Media sees the start of our expansion into the US. We’ve been heavily focused on the UK but with the seismic changes in the kids market we’re seeing huge opportunities in other territories.”
