Character Options is celebrating after its new Peppa Pig Weebles caused a storm on Twitter.
On February 13th from 1.00pm to 3.00pm Character held a competition on Twitter for fans to win one of 12 Weebles figures or playsets.
When the hashtag #peppaweebles was first tweeted, the brand started to dominate Twitter’s UK trends, taking the number one spot on the 10 UK trending topic spots.
During the competition time, nearly 3 million tweets to half a million unique users were delivered.
“Social media is an important element for any modern pre-school brand’s success," said Rachel Copeland Jones, brand manager, Character Options.
"In this two-hour period, Tweets were coming in thick and fast and the comments, from the mums and dads at home, about our range were great to see.
"To trend at number one on Twitter was amazing and just goes to show the strength of feeling that the combination of Weebles with Peppa Pig will command.”
