UK is ‘the third largest Fruit Ninja market in the world’

XnTouch certain of UK success with Slice Sword

Israeli interactive toy company XnTouch believes its Fruit Ninja Slice Sword will be a big hit with UK consumers.

The Slice Sword has been created in partnership with Halfbrick Studios, creators of the Fruit Ninja game, and the toy is designed to enhance the Fruit Ninja gaming experience on smartphones and tablets. 

XnTouch believes the Slice Sword will be a great fit for UK toy shops as a result of the region’s passion for the game.

“As of March 2013, Great Britain was the third largest Fruit Ninja Market in world, and the first market in Europe, with more then 10 million downloads, of which two million are unique monthly active users,” XnTouch co-founder and CMO Liran Erez told ToyNews.

“Therefore, it’s certain that British consumers will enjoy this set of products, which can retain the excitement of playing Fruit Ninja, especially when cool game features and future surprises for the Fruit Ninja game are ahead.”

Halfbrick and XnTouch plan to drum up interest in the product with a range of Slice Sword marketing initiatives.

“We will publish the SliceSword’s demonstration clip at Fruit Ninja’s social networks and Halfbrick’s blog, parallel to the launch of the product’s pre-order campaign, reaching directly to millions of Fruit Ninja fans,” added Erez.

“Pop-ups on the product will launch inside the Fruit Ninja app and we will collaborate with future distributors and retailers on variety of market events in relevant markets.

“We are also launching a viral campaign called ‘How Do You Slice?’ in which each Slice Sword user uploads his own version of the craziest way he can play Fruit Ninja using the Slice Sword.”

Erez believes the launch of the Slice Sword is just the first step in helping XnTouch to be recognised as a major player in the toy industry.

“As we move forward towards the Slice Sword launch and design future suitable products for the Fruit Ninja brand, we work on more revolutionary app-toys, which we plan to introduce during 2014,” said Erez.

“By the end of 2014 we wish to position our selves as an up growing player in the toys industry, by releasing at least three different products to the market, and display at a few major toy conventions.

“During 2014 we intend to join forces with major distributors and retailers around the world, so all of our products will be available for online and offline purchase in leading markets by Christmas 2014.”
