Warner Bros. ramps up DC’s Batman portfolio in 2014

Warner Bros. Consumer Products is stepping up its portfolio of Batman toys this year, with new releases from the likes of Mattel, LEGO and Rubie’s.

2014 will see Mattel release new products in the Batman toy line, including the Lights and Sounds 10 inch Core Figures, Hot Wheels Batmobile Assortment, Batman Basic Figures and a host of additional figures and characters.

The Batman toy line will be joined by Mattel’s new 6 inch Total Heroes line and the 3 3/4 DC Multiverse line of action figures.

Working alongside Fisher-Price, Warner Bros. will continue to introduce DC Super Friends products to the core pre-school market.

The partnership is working to expand the range – reportedly a hit in the US, UK, Brazil, Mexico, Australia and Spain – across Europe and globally.

Meanwhile, The LEGO Group is expanding its LEGO DC Comics offering with four new Batman sets, as well as new product in the construction toy firm’s new Juniors line, along with the debut of the DC Comics into the LEGO duple programme with three new sets.

Additional partners supporting the property include Thinkway with a new line of role play accessories, including a Utility Belt and Sword assortment, a cape and cowl set and complete dress up with gauntlets and gadgets.

Sideshow Collectibles will also bolster the DC Comic portfolio with a range of premium format statues and life-sized busts.

Finally, Jakks Pacific will continue to support the DC Universe with large scale figures, plug and play games and figural flashlights.
