Playmobil celebrates 40th anniversary with special edition products

Playmobil is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year with the launch of new celebratory ranges at the London Toy Fair.

In what the firm has already billed as its ‘biggest year yet’, Playmobil has over 182 new products to offer throughout 2014, with new ranges including Asian Dragons Land, Construction, Shopping Centre, Camping and a 40th anniversary collection.

Among the anniversary range is the special-edition Remote Control Police Car with Camera and a series of Anniversary Compact Sets including Knights Tournament, Princess Island, Fire Brigade Operation and Pony Pasture.

The new Leisure range – available in February – features the Family Caravan, SUV, a Campsite set and Tents, the Pool with Fountain and the Raft and Swimmers.

From April, the new Construction range will include Dump Trucks, Cranes, Surveyors and Construction Workers, along with the Site Manager’s Car.

The Asian Dragons Land will be available from June this year, featuring the Ancient Dragon Castle, the Secret Dragon Fort and the dragon Battle Ship.

Finally, the Shopping Centre will come complete with a working lift between floors filled miniature outfits, accessories, toys and sporting goods from July 2014.
