NPD figures have confirmed Drumond Park is the UK’s leading independent games company.
The total UK games market is led by Hasbro but Ipswich-based Drumond Park has taken second place for the third year running.
NPD results also see its LOGO series rank as the UK’s second most popular Property, and Drumond Park is also second on the lists covering Children’s and Family Games, with 18 per cent growth in the latter category.
“This is the fifth year in a row where Drumond Park has grown both in real terms and increased its market share” says Claire McCool, co-founder and marketing director at Drumond Park.
“In what has been a tough year for many companies within our industry, we have worked long and hard, and are once again delighted with our results.
“The public loves our products, recognising the creative, innovative and value-for-money strengths which we stand for, and deliver every time.
"I am also happy to say that many of our existing titles continue to consolidate their long-term presence in the UK games market, which gives both ourselves and our trade buyers confidence in the future, for everyone concerned.”
Elsewhere, in Adult Games, Drumond Park took 55.3 per cent of the total category with the original LOGO board game in the number one position and four other titles in the top ten.
Articulate! remains in second place and enjoyed a 22 per cent sales value increase over 2012.
Drumond Park also dominates the Magic sector, with its Box of Shocks and Gross Magic in first and second place respectively.
