Hornby is celebrating the return of the nation’s favourite amateur detective more than most, as the Hornby Model Railway featured in last night’s new episode of Sherlock.
The Hornby Model Railway starred alongside Benedict Cumberbatch for one scene in the third series of the BBC drama.
In March 2013, the toy firm was asked to supply a track layout and locomotives for the scene, as staff travelled to the set in Cardiff to set up the track.
The first episode of the new series, entitled The Empty Hearse, was broadcast on BBC One on New Year’s Day.
Hornby is now offering fans the chance to get their hands on one of the locomotives used in the series to one luck winner.
To stand a chance of winning, fans need only check out the Hornby website.
