Cuthberts Toys receives accolade for its 'engagement with local communities'

The Good Toy Guide reveals December’s Retailer of the Month

The Good Toy Guide has revealed the latest store to receive its commendation in its Retailer of the Month initiative.

Cuthberts Toys, in Letchworth and Hatfield, has been awarded the title this month for its ‘great range of well-merchandised products, and knowledgeable friendly sales staff’.

Cuthberts Toys has three High Street toy shops, each manned by a team of carefully selected sales assistants, based on their ‘knowledge of working with and around children.’

The team is encouraged to promote play areas within the in-store environment, such as Play Tables, Creative Days, Magic and Performance Days.

A statement from the Good Toy Guide team read: ‘The product range caters to all ages and tastes, with lots of hidden gems that won’t be found in High Street stores.

‘Toys and Craft Packs are regularly opened and demonstrated to promote understanding and education with children.’

Sealing the victory for Cuthberts was its dedication to community, with all stores liaising with local schools and nurseries to engage with activity days.

Amanda Gummer of the Good Toy Guide, said: "It’s great to see a traditional toy shop like Cuthberts Toys, training staff and engaging with local communities.

"We congratulate Cuthberts on doing such a good job."

As Retailer of the Month, this December Cuthberts Toys will receive stickers to put on all the good toys they have in their shop, a certificate to display, plaques to draw consumers to ranges of good toys and a profile page on the Good Toy Guide website.
