LEGO Friends has partnered with the Football Association to become a sponsor of the UEFA Women’s Europe Under 17 Championship.
Hosted by the FA, the tournament – taking place from November 26th to December 8th – will feature eight of the best young female squads in Europe, forming part of the FA’s 150 year celebrations.
LEGO Friends will offer a host of complementary experiences to the tournament including activities around the match timetable, the chance for fans to try out LEGO Friends and interactive builds.
Teams that have already secured their spot in the championship include, host nation England, Scotland and Spain, with the rest to be revealed soon.
FA tournament manager Andy Carter said: "We want to make this prestigious UEFA championship accessible to all fans including children and families and ensure a great match day experience.
"We believe we have secured a strong partner in LEGO Friends to showcase this tournament and promote girl’s football to all.
"We are working closely with schools, clubs and the community to enable fans, especially children, to enjoy top class international football and LEGO Friends will be working closely to support our plans."
LEGO Friends brand manager Kathryn Marriott added: "LEGO Friends is proud to be associated with an event which is the pinnacle of the biggest female team sport in the country, embodying the shared values of being part of a team, making new friends through hobbies and identifying positive role models and experiences for girls."
This is the seventh UEFA European Women’s Under 17 final tournament, but the first to be held outside of Switzerland.
The current reigning champions are Poland.
