John Lewis to host Good Toy Guide Play Day

John Lewis is embarking on a partnership with the Good Toy Guide, as the Cambridge store’s toy department hosts its first Play Day this month.

Led by child psychologist Dr Amanda Gummer, the Good Toy Guide team will join the John Lewis staff to offer insight into children’s play and development, while helping customers choose presents for their children deemed by the company as ‘Good Toys’.

The Play Day will take place in the toy department of the Cambridge store on Saturday, November 30th between 11am and 5.30pm.

Emma Whybrow, manager of John Lewis’ toy department, said: "This is the first time that John Lewis has teamed up with the Good Toy Guide and we’re thrilled to be the first store in the John Lewis division to host a Play Day like this.

"We’re sure our customers, little as well as big, will appreciate the opportunity to play with our top ten toys and we’re looking forward to a great, fun-filled day."

Amanda Gummer from the Good Toy Guide, added: "We are delighted to be able to work with John Lewis to help parents understand more about play and the toys they buy.

"It’s great see a retailer taking such a caring approach to its customers."
