Hy-Pro international has confirmed two new key appointments to its UK team, welcoming Chris Lord and Mark McDonnell.
Having completed a degree in Sports Science and Business Management, Lord (pictured left) has joined the firm as Shock Doctor Brand Manager.
He boasts experience having worked sports coaching and marketing for a leading health and lifestyle brand, offering him insight into sales, product marketing and PR.
In recent years, Lord has worked with British Swimming, managing its key sponsorship accounts including Kellogg’s, Speedo and British Gas.
Meanwhile, Mark McDonnell (pictured right) has re-joined the firm as sports sales manager, having previously worked in the licensing arena for the last 20 years with Zap, Hy-Pro, Manchester United and Umbro.
Lord said: "I am really passionate about sport and have been my whole life. My main passion has always been rugby.
"I am really excited about working with Shock Doctor, the products are of the highest quality and I am excited to bring my experiences to Hy-Pro to help develop the brand further."
McDonnell, added: "I have been very fortunate to cross work with my passion for sports and particularly football, and when the opportunity to re-join Hy-pro came along it was impossible to turn down.
"Atul Shah and his team have continued to go from strength to strength over the last few years and with recent investment from Nigel Wray (Owner of Saracen’s Rugby Club) the timing couldn’t be better.
"Hy-Pro’s enviable portfolio of licensed football properties along with established leading brands such as Zinc and Shock Doctor the future looks very exciting. I am very much looking forward in contributing to the next chapter of Hy-Pro’s success”.
