Darcy Harrison won the competition to star as the Voice of Playmobil this season.

Nine year old girl is first ever fan to star in Playmobil’s Christmas ad campaign

For the first time in the company’s history, Playmobil has welcomed a fan into the recording studio to feature as the voice of its Christmas TV advertising campaign.

Following a nationwide search and over 100 video applications, the firm offered the voice over role to nine year old fan and acting student, Darcy Harrison.

Harrison from Warwickshire won over the judges vote with her scriptwriting, acting and love for the Playmobil brand.

Harrison’s debut as The Voice of Playmobil Christmas will premiere on CITV at 7.43am on Monday October 14th.

Harrison said: "I can’t believe my voice is going to be on TVs all over the country in the run up to Christmas.

"I had such a good time making my film and recording the ad. It was such an amazing experience, I can’t wait to see the final result on TV."

Darcy’s mother, Emma Morris, added: "As soon as Darcy hear about Voice of Playmobil her mind was made up.

"She wanted to create her own ad which showed how children have lots of different ways to play because she couldn’t choose one favourite toy. She had the confidence knocked out of her when she had a trampoline accident so started acting lessons with Stagecoach to build it back up again.

"She’s our little star an loves creating and performing plays at home. I’m incredibly proud of Darcy and the whole experience has been a dream come true."

Marketing manager for Playmobil, Jamie Dickinson, added: "This is the first time we’ve ever involved fans in any of our Playmobil advertising campaigns and Christmas is a key time for us.

"Our biggest ambassadors are our fans, so inviting them to be the Voice of Playmobil was the perfect way to celebrate their passion for our brand and how much they mean to us.

"We were incredibly touched and impressed by the passion, creativity and standard of entries that the children sent in. Darcy’s talent shone through in her video and in the way she captured our incredibly diverse target audience.

"She blew us away on the recording day with her enthusiasm and professional attitude and I think she has a great future ahead of her."
