Jumbo ready to score with SoccerSuckers collection

Jumbo Games is placing heavy investment in the launch of its latest range of collectables, SoccerSuckers with activity including a national newspaper promotion and a social media campaign.

Following a ‘fantastic response’ to the brand’s pre-promotion at Toy Fair, the firm is now expecting ‘big things’ from the collection this autumn/winter and is supporting retailers with a full launch campaign.

“We are placing major investment in the launch with a national newspaper promotion, social and online outreach and a multi-tiered PR campaign,” Katherine Pierce, marketing manager at Jumbo Games, explained to ToyNews.

“Our strategy is very much combining the dominant trend for collectable toys with the nation’s passion for football. We are predicting big things from SoccerSuckers, and having already pre-promoted the range at Toy Fair, the response to the range has been fantastic.”

Arriving in time for the new football season, SoccerSuckers are rubberised football figures able to stick to any glossy surface. Featuring popular players from five of England’s top football teams – including Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Manchester City – Jumbo is driving collectability with more teams to follow throughout the season.

“For us, demand for the range shows no bounds,” continued Pierce. “It will appeal to children who are football fans and seeking the latest collectable must-have.

“More so, SoccerSuckers has longevity whereby we will introduce new teams and limited editions in reflection of changes to the Premiership, in order to keep it fresh and exciting.”
