Smart Trike and Go tricycle-shopping cart hybrid provokes mixed reactions

The launch of Smart Trike’s latest tricycle, Smart Trike and Go has appeared to cause a social media stir, dividing fans of the brand down the middle.

The brand new design features a shopping cart attached to the company’s signature tricycle and has so far inspired some strong reactions from parents.

Images of the Smart Trike and Go were posted on social media sites, including a Facebook page where the design attracted a flurry of comments such as, ‘OMG, what a brilliant idea. Shopping basket added bonus’ and ‘That’s rather fabulous. So many you end up buying and they become redundant later.’

Not all were sold on the design however, with one follower leaving the comment ‘Rubbish!!! Would never go out with thing like that.’

Smart Trike in the mean time remains optimistic about the comments and is embracing the social media attention the new tricycle-shopping cart hybrid is receiving.

Head of marketing communications, Osnat Feingold, said: "We were surprised with the reaction from the UK, but really we can only see this as a positive thing. We would far rather come up with a products that attracts attention, than one that goes by unnoticed.

"Admittedly this has turned out to be a trike parents make a snap judgement over, but we are confident that anyone who tries it will love it.

"We have a complete range of trikes without shopping carts attached, so we really are providing something for everyone here."
