The firm hopes these latest patents will help prevent more fake Attacknid products entering the market

Wow! Stuff’s Attacknid granted more patents

Wow! Stuff has secured two granted patents for the Combat Creatures’ Attacknid.

This takes Wow! Stuff’s granted patent portfolio into double figures and the firm says many more are in application and examination.

"Our business is about innovation and creating a consumer ‘wow’ factor from producing unique products such as the Attacknids," said Dr. Graeme Taylor, Director of NPD.

"We now have patents on physical product and technology, many of which are yet to come to the market"

The Attacknid, a walking hexapod robot, was granted a patent for its Exploda-Armor last month but the latest patent concerns the mechanism which allows the toy to go all-terrain and rotate 360 degrees.

"This patent was first applied for many years ago so we have a nice priority date," said marketing manager Chris Hood.

"The uniqueness of the product and its modular blaster functions now make it the ultimate patented blasting and battling R/C robot.”

Wow! Stuff has started to see an influx of fake Attacknids infiltrate the market over the past few months and hopes these latest patents will help prevent more being created.

"We fully support the Fight the Fakes campaign as our biggest investment is in the development and protection of Intellectual Property," said Wow! Stuff founder and CEO Richard North.

"Our local MP Emma Reynolds is supporting us and will be invited to help the campaign, which is clearly gathering huge momentum.”

The firm urges all retailers to refuse fake items and contact Wow! Stuff with the seller’s details.
