National Products, the Hong Kong firm behind toy versions of Mercedes, Hummer and Mini cars, has teamed up with Carroll Shelby Licensing for a Shelby Cobra 427S/C ride on vehicle, reports Gizmag.
The 12V powered car can be ordered in red or blue, both with white Cobra racing stripes, and other features include chrome rims, a roll bar, side exhaust pipes and realistic sound effects.
The Cobra has reverse, low and high gears and can reach up to five mph (8 km/h) with 45 minutes of drive time available before the need for a battery recharge.
998 will be made, a number replicating the Cobra’s production run from 1962 to 1967 and each will have its own serial number recorded in an official Cobra ride on registry.
A navy blue limited edition version will also be released complete with working headlamps and Carroll Shelby’s 98 racing number.
The Shelby Cobra 427S/C ride on vehicle is due for release in the US in October.
