A new British online marketplace is set to launch on November 1st – and has its sights firmly set on challenging Amazon and eBay.
Vendors offering more than 30,000 product lines have already registered to trade with OnBuy, with the firm encouraging more to sign up so their products will be available at launch.
OnBuy is designed to be a simple and easy to use marketplace that claims will offer more benefits to sellers than rival marketplaces. It says that the cost-per-sale to vendors is lower than those charged by Amazon and eBay, allowing vendors to sell at lower prices and to pass savings on to customers.
The site is planning to offer millions of products from major brands to independent retailers – and says it can even sell non-barcoded or custom products.
Cas Paton, MD of OnBuy, said: "The OnBuy team are really excited about the launch of the new marketplace. We’re looking forward to building some long lasting business relationships with some world class sellers.
"I’m excited for the future of OnBuy. We have some great ideas in development and we can’t wait to showcase them to the public."
