Ravensburger boosts new AR puzzle sales with in-store demos

Ravensburger has reported a boost in sales of its new Augmented Reality puzzles in stores carrying out active product and concept explanations.

The firm is supporting the launch of Times Square New York and World Map with a strong retail POS scheme.

Cornee Marlow, marketing services coordinator, said: “The range has shown real success in shops where time and space is taken to explain how traditional puzzlers can enjoy a jigsaw with AR technology. We have video content that explains how the concept works, and where shops were able to play this on the screen next to the stock, we have seen a real impact on sales compared to shops where the stock is just placed on the shelf.”

The firm has also seen an increase in sales through online retailers utilising the video content.

The AR puzzles blend traditional jigsaw puzzling with modern technology delivered through a free app. Each puzzle in the range reacts differently, featuring varied content, from Look and Find games and quizzes to detailed tours of landscapes.
