Alton Towers to host Tatty Teddy Storytelling Weekend

Tatty Teddy and My Blue Nose Friends has partnered with Alton Towers Resort to host a Storytelling Weekend featuring character appearances and competitions for young fans.

Running on Saturday, August 10th and Sunday, August 11th, the weekend will also feature face painting, treasure trail, storytelling, prizes and more.

The event will be held each day from 5pm at Ma Garrittas Bar in the Splash Landings Hotel.

It follows the launch of Carte Blanche’s competition in July, inviting young fans to write a short story featuring Tatty Teddy and My Blue Nose Friends.

Seven year old, Emma Benney from Chorley won with the most imaginative entry, winning a family day in the Tatty Teddy themed room at the Alton Towers Resort Hotel along with passes to spend the day at the Theme Park.

Two runners-up, Honor Chilvers, 11 and Emma Haytack, eight, also won tickets to the theme park for a family of four.

Carte Blanche brand manager, Catherine Lawrence, said: "We received an amazing amount of entries to the competition, proving just how responsive kids are to our brand.

"We really enjoyed reading all of the stories, all of which included wonderful amounts of detail and imaginative storylines for Tatty Teddy and My Blue Nose Friends."
