The date for the 2014 Toy Trust Big Challenge has been confirmed – with the industry being told to mark Saturday June 7th in the diary.
The fundraiser will take place on the Isle of Wight and will include events for cyclists, walkers and runners, enabling more people than ever to get involved.
There are plans for a 20k run, 20k walk and a 130k bike ride, as well as dual event for the hardcore athletes.
This year’s Big Kids Bike Ride – which was held in June – raised £150,000.
"Our 2013 Bike Ride was such a huge success in terms of fundraising and all the positive feedback we received from the 180+ participants," said Foye Pascoe, chair of the Toy Trust charity. "We feel our 2014 Big Challenge could be an even greater success, with not just cyclists involved, but also runners and walkers now welcome to join the fun.
"Our goal for 2014 is to support two big children’s charities, one UK-based and one international, details of which will be confirmed shortly.
"We encourage members of the toy and licensing community to get involved and again sign up in big numbers to help us beat our £150,000 fundraising target."
200 execs will be able to join in, with places allocated on a first come, first served basis. Any company or individual wishing to register their interest for any of the events should contact Matt Jones at the BTHA on 020 7701 7127 or email him by clicking on this link.
