Firm's donation 'helps put smile back on kids' faces'; children's ward treats over 3,000 a year.

Good Toy Guide donates £250 of new toys to Lister hospital’s children’s ward

The Good Toy Guide has donated a collection of brand new toys to Lister Hospital’s children’s ward, worth £250.

East and North Herts Hospital Charity was reportedly ‘delighted’ when the firm offered the donation.

Jackie Worboys from The Good Toy Guide, said: "As a large part of our work is reviewing children’s toys, we are sent quite a few samples from toy manufacturers. Spare samples are used in competitions, giveaways and CSR work supporting children’s right to play.

"It has been great to visit the children’s ward and we are really pleased that these toys will help entertain poorly children who have to stay in hospital."

Zoe Doherty, fundraiser for East and North Herts Hospitals Charity, added: "The children’s ward treats over 3,000 children every year and we are always in need of brand new toys for the children to play with.

"It is never great for children having to stay in hospital, so being able to play in the playroom and have the distraction of new toys definitely helps put a smile back on their faces.

"We are very grateful to the Good Toy Guide for thinking of us."
