Firm welcomes 20 new bloggers to its Playologist programme and steps up marketing ahead of anniversary.

Playmobil strengthens digital presence ahead of 40th anniversary

Playmobil is strengthening its digital presence as it adds 20 new recruits to its Playologist blogger programme.

The programme, now in its fourth year, works with bloggers and their children to champion the Playmobil brand within the parenting community.

And the new bloggers will now join some of the most influential UK parent bloggers currently working as ambassadors for Playmobil.

Playmobil’s social media expansion follows the recent news that the firm has become the fastest growing toymaker in the top 25, according to Q1 NPD figures.

The German toymaker has stepped up its marketing in the lead up to its 40th anniversary celebrations next year, launching initiatives such as offering fans the opportunity to be the voiceover for its christmas TV advertising.

Jamie Dickinson, marketing manager for Playmobil UK, said: "Digital activity has always been a core part of Playmobil’s marketing strategy, and it’s even more important now as we count down to the 40th anniversary.

"Our work with bloggers compliments our extensive PR campaign and TV and press advertising. We see fantastic levels of support and endorsement from our bloggers and social media communities and are excited to see what the new recruits will bring to the table."
