Character Options has reforecast sales for its ChillFactor Slushy Maker from 500,000 to around 750,000, following strong demand.
It previously expected to sell half a million by the end of this year.
The company’s marketing director Jerry Healy said: "In view of what is happening at retail we are revising what was a bullish forecast of over 500,000 sales this year, to somewhere approaching 750,000, and we are working hard to obtain enough stock to meet the demand.
"The ChillFactor Slushy Maker is without doubt one of this year’s hot toys and such was the positive reaction from the visitors of the Good Food Show that we have decided to demonstrate at the Winter Good Food Show too.
"This attracts an even greater footfall and will be the perfect event to further increase the awareness for Christmas sales.”
More than 10,000 free cups of the ChillFactor slushy were handed out to visitors at the Good Food Show Summer last weekend.
And Character Options says its Chillfactor Squeeze Cup Slushy Maker has received a wave of positive feedback after its live demonstrations at the show.
Almost 90,000 people attended the BBC’s Good Food Show Summer and Gardens Show Live at Birmingham’s NEC on Saturday, June 22nd and Sunday, June 23rd.
The demonstrations were organised by Evolution PR, on behalf of Character.
Michele Bates, managing director of Evolution PR, said: "We saw tens of thousands of visitors and despite having a large stand we were often six deep with people watching the demos.
"Our main purpose was to bring the ChillFactor to the mums and dads’ attention and many had already been pestered to buy one by their kids.
"But the slush making has to be seen to be believed and after the demonstrations, they were vowing to buy them for their kids once at home; or indeed for themselves to make iced coffees and cocktails."
