Mookie Toys’ national account manager Terry Aarons has retired from the firm.
Aarons, aged 73, spent 57 years in the toy trade. He has enjoyed a career that has has seen him head the sales teams at Alltrades, Cowan de Groot, Titan Toys and Mookie Toys.
Aarons commented: "At the age of 73, I am taking early retirement."
At a farewell lunch held in his honour, Terry’s efforts with Mookie were celebrated in a speech from Mookie Orr, MD of Mookie Toys.
Orr said: "Terry could sell ice-cream to Eskimos. He will without a doubt be missed by his fellow sales men, who could always rely on his ‘pearls of wisdom’ when any customer problems arose, not least his comical anecdotes to accompany them."
A statement released from Mookie announcing the retirement signed off wishing Aarons ‘all the best in the future.’
