New outlet opens on June 29th in Glasgow's Buchanan Galleries.

The Entertainer opens the doors of first Scottish store

The Entertainer is to open its first outlet in Scotland on Saturday June 29th.

The store will be situated in Glasgow’s Buchanan Galleries, with the opening supported by a PR and marketing campaign. The grand opening will be marked with a special trolley dash undertaken by a recipient of local Glaswegian children’s charity, With Kids. The Entertainer will be handing out pre-loaded gift cards to the first 50 shoppers through its doors to spend throughout the day.

The retailer has also appointed mi-comms PR to handle the trade and consumer PR launch on a project basis.

"After experiencing such solid growth across England and Wales, we needed to establish our brand in Scotland and we are pleased to announce that Buchanan Galleries will be home to our first Scottish store," said Gary Grant, MD and founder of The Entertainer. "We felt Glasgow and the centre itself offered a strong retail position for our store as it attracts large numbers of family shoppers who are demanding more toy shopping choice on the High Street and withing shopping centres.

"We look forward to bringing joy and wonder to the children of Glasgow and we have plans to increase our presence in Scotland and will announce further plans soon."

Earlier this week The Entertainer revealed that its sales are set to rise from £112 million to £125 million.
