Tek Recon hits $50,000 funding target on Kickstarter

Tek Recon has surpassed its $50,000 funding goal on Kickstarter, one week ahead of its June 10th deadline.

The campaign was designed to help fund the development of the Tek Recon app, which enables Tek Recon Blaster fans and gamers to experience live action online gaming.

The new development will be available for demonstration and sampling for the first time at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, California this June.

Tek Recon Blasters feature real trigger action, recoil and specially designed reusable "NRG Rounds". The new app aims to enhance play by connecting to the blaster and using mobile and GPS technology to deliver interactive displays, live chat, vision modes and more.

The free app will be available for iOS and Androis devices.

Brad Pedersen, CEO of Tek Recon Inc, said: "The Tek Recon launch through Kickstarter has been an incredible experience.

"Watching Blaster fans and Gamers engage with Tek Recon and back our project celebrates the mission we set out on two years ago: to bring video games, online connectivity and social interactive play together through innovation and great product design.

"Thank you to all of our backers and supporters, the best is still to come."

ToyNews first reported on the new blaster brand last month.
