LEGO UK has strengthened its team at the top with the appointment of two new senior directors.
Rebecca Snell has become the new head of UK marketing, while Matthew Ott steps into the role of head of sales.
Snell joins LEGO from Bacardi, where she most recently held the position of global brand director. She boasts experience from various roles within Proctor and Gamble, too, and played an instrumental part in creating Proctor and Gamble UK’s brand-building team in 2009.
In her new role, Snell will be responsible for overseeing LEGO’s total marketing function in the UK and Ireland, including strategically driving the company’s position in the marketplace, building customer relationships and brand communications.
Meanwhile, Ott has been with the LEGO Group for 18 years, joining the company’s Australian and New Zealand businesses before moving to the UK in 2011 as national account director.
He lists his major career achievements as maximising sales results, leading project teams and being an instrumental part of the sales team that delivered over 20 per cent business unit growth year on year.
Ott will be looking to build closer collaborative relationships with customers and strengthen the team to maintain strong growth results.
